Research and consultancy towards improving and/or reorienting an intervention.
With a focus on Enabling decisions based on factual data, dataworx organically commenced operations to empower
authenticating and enhancing outcomes, enabling accountability, while facilitating tangible, efficient and
rapid knowledge transfer. The impact evaluation division of dataworx, was founded by a group of development
professionals having a diverse set of skills ranging from Research, Evaluations, Analytics, Communication,
Documentation, Training and Implementation in the sector, in addition to the core IT and design.
It seeks to unearth and provide evidence of what works and what does not, for whom, and why.
We start with understanding the issue that needs addressing, and identifying the difference that needs to be made,
as important first steps for impact measurement and evaluation. Towards this, dataworx works with agencies
involved with development programs in establishing whether or not there is a causal link between an intervention
and the key outcome indicators that are of importance to the policymaker and to make mid-course corrections
and scale up successful policy instruments to achieve policy outcomes. While incorporating an impact evaluation
into a development program we focus on a well-structured monitoring and evaluation plan, also involving
identifying and categorising the information to collect about the work and the difference it makes.
Developing a monitoring and evaluation framework will help us decide what to measure.
